Bees@Schools Across Canada

One of the major goals of the Bees@Schools project was to get an idea of cavity-nesting bee distributions across Canada. Check out the map below to see our 2019 schools! Although there are a few places we definitely want to improve on, we think we did pretty well for our first year!

During our 2020 season, we will be sending DOUBLE the next boxes out in order to increase our geographical coverage. Stay tuned for our application period, coming up in March!

  1. Hi Sage

How do we see the results of the biodiversity found in our nest boxes? I can’t seem to find that on your website/blog.

Also, West Carleton would love to participate again this year.

    Thanks for your help.

    1. Hi Sherry. Unfortunately, results are not yet available because the samples are not fully processed. We will be sure to let you know as soon as they are! Applications for this year’s program will be available on March 1st so keep an eye on our website and your email! Sage

  2. Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School in Orillia is looking forward to being part of this again. We are also looking to create our own pollinator gardens and possibly establish a hive.
